About Jack

Jack Cullen grew up reading any book he could get his hands on. Prior to pretending to be a grownup, his various misadventures include waking up in the wrong country, being chased by a pack of jackals in Pakistan, floating through the Mayan Underworld on an inner tube, bumping into Bear Grylls while hiking in the Amazon and almost being run over by a supertanker while sailing across the Gulf of Mexico. An amateur barstool philosopher, his stores are rarely told the same way twice.

A military veteran, attorney, and a police captain with over 25 years in law enforcement, Jack’s eclectic reading habits once got him picked to be trained in the investigation of cults and ritualistic crimes. While this particular training proved useless in his law enforcement career it, has been in invaluable in writing Paranormal, Urban Fantasy and Horror Comedy.

A CIBA Award winner and author of the best-selling series Recollections of a Rune Knight, Jack is also a partner in Wicked Creative LLC which publishes the Anthologies of the New England Horror Writers.

Jack lives in New England with his family, the dog, the dog’s cat, six hens and a demon of a rooster named Sean. Jack often does his writing in his cabin in the woods which he insulated solely by his vast collection of books. When not writing or catching bad guys (Though these days, it’s less bad guys and more paperwork), Jack can be found traveling around New England in a 1956 Willys Wagon named The Professor.
